Vacuum insulation combined with a reflective coating. Published solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC): 0.40.

VGA Control
Vacuum glazing options for managing solar heat, insulation and outside noise, shaped around the needs of your space.
Vacuum glazing. A specification shaped around your project.

Vacuum insulation combined with a reflective coating. Published solar heat gain coefficient (SHGC): 0.40.
An insulation option with a published U-value of 0.4 W/m²K, designed to limit heat transfer through the glass.
Glazing for spaces where outside noise matters, with a published weighted sound reduction index (Rw) above 36 dB.
Technical information
Selected figures from VGA product material. The final specification depends on your project and the glass configuration.
Solar, Heat and Acoustic Control are separate performance considerations. These published figures should not be assumed to apply together to every Control configuration. Confirm the selected glass and test basis with VGA.
Glass figures are not whole-window ratings. Final suitability, test documentation and any project approvals need to be confirmed.

Where it fits
A sunny room, a colder aspect and a busy street place different demands on glazing. Control brings those priorities into the specification conversation, so the glass can be selected around the environment and the way the space is used.
The published range includes Basic Low E single-silver coating, Premium Low E D80 and a solar control coating. Each balances visible light, outdoor reflectivity and solar heat gain differently. The tables also preserve a separate set of laminated combinations.
Choose the coating around the room and its exposure, then confirm the performance of that exact combination. A lower solar heat gain figure should not be assumed to mean the same appearance or light transmission.
The improved construction described for Control omits the evacuation plug and uses a linear getter close to the perimeter. The retained construction illustration shows an earlier arrangement with a port cap, so use the current product drawing when specifying.
A slim profile may help where glazing space is restricted. Installation, compatibility and maintenance still need to follow the current instructions for the selected glass and frame.
The original charts below are retained as published. They are reference material, not a substitute for the current specification or a test report for the selected glass and complete window. Confirm availability, construction and warranty with VGA before ordering.
Historical comparisons of energy efficiency, noise, light transmission and service life do not establish that one product is best in every application. Savings and installed performance depend on the project.
