Before you specify
Technical documents and guidance Acoustic ratings relate to the named glass configurations, not every Optimum product or complete window. A separate rating for VGA + IG was not supplied. Confirm the build-up, thickness, test basis and required performance with VGA.
Glass figures are not whole-window ratings. Final suitability, test documentation and any project approvals need to be confirmed.

A profile to suit the project
Optimum was developed for projects needing more depth than a slim vacuum unit, including demanding housing briefs. The original VGA + Laminate description positions it between a laminated profile and a conventional double-glazed profile; exact thickness depends on the combination.
VGA + IG adds an insulated glass configuration, while VGA++ combines vacuum, laminated and insulated glass. Discuss the required profile with VGA rather than treating the illustrations as dimensioned construction drawings.
Appearance, construction and care
The published improved vacuum component omits the evacuation plug and has a linear getter near the perimeter. Confirm the current component and coating within the complete Optimum combination; added layers can change its appearance and reflection.
Obtain the installation and maintenance instructions for the complete assembly. Neither an insulation claim nor the reference image labelled “Anti-condensation” guarantees that a project will be free of condensation or meet a particular building performance target.

The original charts below are retained as published. They are reference material, not a substitute for the current specification or a test report for the selected glass and complete window. Confirm availability, construction and warranty with VGA before ordering.
Historical comparisons of energy efficiency, noise, light transmission and service life do not establish that one product is best in every application. Savings and installed performance depend on the project.
