Technical documents and guidance The published Heritage figure is 39 dB; its acoustic test metric is not identified in the supplied material. Ask VGA to confirm the test basis, thickness and frame suitability for your project.
Glass figures are not whole-window ratings. Final suitability, test documentation and any project approvals need to be confirmed.

For homes where original windows are part of the architecture, Heritage offers a way to explore improved glazing without starting with a complete window replacement. The existing frame and rebate need to be assessed before a specification is agreed.

Colonial timber frames and shallow rebates
Colonial timber windows were often made for single glass, with a shallow rebate to hold it. A compact vacuum glass profile can be worth considering where the depth of conventional double or triple glazing would make a retrofit difficult.
Retaining the existing façade remains a design aim, not an automatic fit: the actual glass thickness, rebate and frame condition need to be assessed for each window.
Discreet construction and appearance
The published improved construction has no evacuation plug and places a linear getter close to the perimeter. Confirm these details on the unit being specified.
Coating choices affect light transmission and exterior reflection. The reference tables show those differences; a claim of reduced reflections should not be read as reflection-free glass. Review a sample where appearance is critical.
Installation and ongoing care
The slim format is intended to support practical retrofit work. Ask VGA for the current installation method, frame requirements and care instructions for the chosen unit before work begins; convenience claims do not replace those instructions.
